The Story: My Life

Hahaha, this feels weird. But I'd realized that I never actually fully introduced myself here didn't I? Well then, how about if I start my introduction with a story first? Okay then, here goes the story...
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

On May 17 1992, a wonderful baby boy was born. His eyes was oddly big for a baby. This cause a bit of shock to the doctor and the nurses. That day was the day Rashid Sidek won the Thomas Cup. His father wanted to named him Mohd Rashid Bin Ismail. But unfortunately, his father's "scheme" was thwarted by his mother. So, in the end he was named Mohd Firdaus Bin Ismail. He was given such name because his eldest brother was named Ridzuan * based on the name of the Guardian of Heaven* in hope that his elder brother would care for him * Firdaus is the name of the 7th Heaven* He spent a couple months of his life living peacefully. Well, of course it would be peaceful since he is a BABY. Unfortunately, he was diagnosed with a disease. A disease that would cause an eternal suffering to him and a lot more worse to his family. The next couple of years was one hell to another. The baby had a chronic disease where his skin would end up being dry and scaly. He couldn't wear any clothes without feeling pain. And his face was unrecognizable even to his Parents and his beloved Grandmother. For a baby, his body already experience one heck of a pain. A pain that would made a fully grown man crazy. It's a pain that could murder you slowly inside out. It was HELL on Earth.
His Parents went from places to places in search for a cure. No matter how much it cost to them, they will do anything to make sure that their son could lead a normal life. From traditional method to medical method, they tried every single thing. It get's worse when the doctor said that the baby could not consume normal milk like other baby's would. He was in need to consume soy based product. You see, at that particular period, such product could cost a fortune. And for this couple who had lead a simple life prior to the birth of this baby, it was.. A BURDEN. It was the first time they had to spend for something such as this. But they did buy it. Not because they HAD to buy it, but it's because their LOVE for their son was limitless. They wanted to see him grow into a wonderful man capable of leading his own family. They wanted to see him grow old with them by his side.It was many months later that they finally managed to find a cure for him. It wasn't rapid, but at least the poor boy could lead a normal life although he would end up with a weaker body than most kids of his age. After so long, the misery was finally lifted from this family lives. And the pain subsided..
Then during this boy's pre-school life, he experience something that he had never encountered before. He had a fight. For the first time in his life he felt this weird sensation. He felt ANGER. He didn't knew what it was until he acted. He took his lunchbox and quickly hit it on his opponent's head. He felt relief after doing so. But the aftereffect backlash towards him. Somehow, the other boy knows karate, so he ended the fight by simply kicking the poor boy's tummy. *poor him* Oddly enough, Firdaus ends up being the boy's best friend. And they spent the whole pre-school year having fun together. But good things never lasts. And so pre-school ended and they had to parted ways. Both man going to lead a different path in their life. It wasn't until Firdaus entered middle school that he would finally learned about friendship and betrayal. Being bullied throughout the day by people he considered friends was a shocking experience to him. You see, throughout his life, Firdaus had live a completely sheltered life all thanks to his Parents. He doesn't have any friends that live near him during his childhood, he wasn't THAT close with any of his relatives, and his Grandmother pampered him quite a lot. This caused him to have an inferiority complex whenever he is in a crowded place. His confidence was near zero and he would tremble quite badly when he had to go and talk in front of others. He also have no social skills at all. It's easier to say that Firdaus was a pure born GEEK. And when I said pure, I literally means it * he didn't actually understand what porn is, and whenever there an inappropriate scene in a movie, his mother would censored it with any means necessary.* Then the time comes for him to depart from middle school to the University life. This is the place where he learns what life truly is. This is the place where he understands that life isn't all about books, and studying. This is the place where he experienced LOVE. This is the place where he learned to survive. This is the place where he learned to FORGET. And this is the place where he learned to TRUST. All in all, this 18 years of life had been one hell of a ride for Firdaus. He sheds tears for his family, his parents, and a women. In the end, all of this is what makes him the man that he is now. The experience is what drives him to live his life. And it will be the same thing that will cause him to mature for years to come.
:Moral of the story: Don't think your life as a single path that will only go straight. Think of it as branch, where each branch would lead you to a different set of life. And understand that once you take the step on one branch, then you won't see the other again forever. What's most important is that while choosing your branch, you should enjoy the experience of having control over your life. Life shouldn't be tensed, life is to be enjoyed modestly.

So...yea, that's story of my life up to this point. Just think of that as an intro for many more to come. Who knows, maybe next time things gonna be far more interesting than now. Just wait and see. :-)
